IES founding Principal, John Pohl, has over 24
years proven expertise in the mechanical and
environmental engineering field, sustainable
development, contaminated land characterisation and
remediation. John holds a B.S. in Mechanical
Engineering, and a M.S. in Environmental
Engineering, major in Hydrogeology. Additional
credentials include:

John's environmental experience covers a wide range
of industries, including industrial process
control, waste minimisation, residential /
commercial /military construction, and contaminated
land consultancy services. Extensive knowledge and
experience in the environmental civil works area
also includes the following disciplines: bore
drilling; geophysics; geological; hydrogeology;
contaminant fate and transport; Computer Aided
Design (CAD); computer modelling and GIS.
